Student success requires a Learning Expert.
Not guesswork.
AUSTIN ASHBY & ASSOCIATES PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL SERVICES
Providing comprehensive psychoeducational services to students across Florida.
Who we are…
We are licensed school psychologists with more than 22 years of experience administering assessments and supporting students in Pre-K through 12th grade using a whole-child approach.
Our evaluations provide clear, detailed insight into student’s academic, social-emotional, and behavioral profiles, allowing families and educators to better understand precisely what students need to thrive.
What we do…
We evaluate and analyze how children learn. Every child has unique strengths and challenges. Without a clear understanding of how a child learns, parents and teachers struggle to provide the most effective instruction and support.
Our evaluations reveal each child’s specific learning styles to help families and educators understand how to best support their students at home and school.
“Every child has a different learning style and pace. Each child is unique, not only capable of learning but also capable of succeeding.”
— Robert John Meehan
“There is a brilliant child locked inside every student.”
— Marva Collins
We specialize in enhancing students’ individual educational journeys.
We administer comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations in-person and remotely to students in Pre-K through 12th grade.
We specialize in delivering psychoeducational evaluation services to help students, families, and educators.
We have administered over 2,000 evaluations in over 22 years and bring valuable knowledge and insight to every client we assess. All evaluations are administered remotely, offering students and families easy access to high-quality and affordable evaluations in multiple states.
We offer the following Psychoeducational Evaluations and Assessments:
-

Intellectual Ability & Cognitive Processing
Intellectual and cognitive processing tests provide insight into students’ problem-solving abilities and help identify their cognitive strengths and weaknesses. These assessments reveal how each student learns most effectively.
-

Academic Achievement
Academic tests measure levels of achievement in reading, math, and/or writing. A student’s test results reveal their specific academic strengths and pinpoint any academic deficits that need to be addressed.
-

ADHD & Executive Function
ADHD and Executive Function evaluations provide information about a student's ability to pay attention, remember details, sit still without fidgeting, follow directions, use good planning and organizational skills, etc. A student’s evaluation results reveal if their behaviors are related to ADHD or not. Results also provide critical information to assist parents when making educational decisions and identifying interventions.
-

Social-Emotional & Behavioral Functioning
Social-Emotional/Behavioral Evaluations provide information about a student’s feelings and overall view of themselves. Evaluation results give insight into their social skills, how well they cope with stress, their ability to manage their behaviors, etc. Evaluation results also help to identify any warning signs of concerns related to anxiety, depression, oppositional and/or defiant behaviors, etc. Results also assist parents and teachers with determining effective behavior plans to utilize within the home and school environments.
-

Autism & Adaptive Functioning
Autism and Adaptive Functioning Evaluations measure students’ social communication, social interactions, ability to complete tasks safely and independently, sensory sensitivities, ability to adjust well to change, and more. Results of these evaluations reveal if there are symptoms, behaviors, and associated features of Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or adaptive behavior delays. Evaluation results also provide parents with a better understanding of the level of support students require at home and school.
-

Early Childhood/Pre-K Screeners
Early Childhood & Pre-K Screeners utilize standardized assessments to help determine if a child shows average development, above average development, or is at-risk for developmental delays. Screener results reveal the type of support each child needs in order to learn and prepare for the instructional rigor of Kindergarten.
